FQC: Quality inspection for Fastbolt and external customers

26. 3月 2019

Since 2007 FQC (Shanghai) Mechanical Technology Consultancy Co., Ltd. represents a fundamental element of our Quality Management within Fastbolt. The Fastbolt subsidiary fulfils the role as European inspection laboratory right in the centre of the Asian supply market – Shanghai, China.

The team of inspectors led by Tom Hou, Laboratory Manager, and the customer service team led by Maggie Zhang, Sales Manager, is carrying out quality inspections on bolts, screws, nuts, washers and other metal parts within FQCs lab located in Pujiang Town (Minhang District) about 30 minutes outside of downtown Shanghai. The modern lab equipped with machines and devices of world leading brands covers most areas of possible quality inspections on our goods and strongly focusses on reliable inspection processes. This is also one reason why since 2008 FQC and its operation has been permanently accredited to the international standards of ISO 17025:2005 through permanent re-certification audits carried out by CNAS (China National Accreditation Service). FQCs test scope comprises the following different tests:

  • Tensile test
  • Proof load test
  • Hardness test (HRC/HB and HV0,3 – HV30)
  • Case hardness depth test
  • Carburization / Decarburization test (microscopic / hardness method)
  • Chemical analysis
  • Coating thickness test (x-ray method)
  • Breaking torque test
  • Shear load test
  • Impact test (up to -110°C)
  • Drive / thread forming torque test
  • Torque / clamp force test
  • Friction coefficient
  • Roughness test
  • Drill speed test
  • Salt spray test
  • Bending angle test
  • Dimensional tests

Apart from the CAQ-Software managed sample inspection of our ready-to-ship goods from Far East the laboratory is also involved in the pre-qualification tests of samples for potential new suppliers for Fastbolt.

The entire above mentioned service package including on-site inspections in manufacturing is offered by FQC also to a rapidly growing number of external customers. Samples to be inspected are being provided either by the customer, his supplier or – if requested – can be picked up on-site by FQC staff from pallets that are ready to be dispatched. All inspections are then carried out in FQC’s lab in Shanghai precisely according to the exact requirements of the customer. In the end inspection results and corresponding certificates are being provided in a timely manner.

If you are interested in FQC’s services and wish to receive more information on commercial, technical and process related details please feel free to contact Maggie Zhang (maggie.zhang@fqc-shanghai.com) and her Customer Service team at any time.
