The EU commission has decided not to introduce preliminary anti-dumping tariffs on imports of steel fasteners from China.

The commission still has points of view that need to be investigated in order to be able to reach a final decision.  The commission is continuing to examine the proposal and therefore needs more time before coming to a conclusion.

In accordance with EU regulations, a judgement must be made within 15 months from the start of the investigation.  This means that a final decision must be made by 09.02.2009.
